Microneedling and platelet-rich plasma are used in a vampire facial (PRP). Microneedling punctures the skin with short, fine needles.

These needles are between.5 and 2.5 millimetres in length. The needles are as small as pinpricks and merely penetrate the skin. The pricks “injure” the skin, causing it to heal by producing elastin and collagen and allowing the PRP to penetrate deeper.

PRP is given directly to your skin once the microneedling procedure is completed. PRP is a blood-derived concentrate of platelet-rich plasma protein. PRP contains a high concentration of growth factors, which aid tissue healing and repair and can be used to treat a variety of skin conditions.
